Company & LLP Registration Trends in India — April 2022

In short

April 2022: 16,448 Company and LLP registrations in India, with historical April comparison from 2016 onward.

April 2022 — Key Observations

April 2022 recorded 16,448 registrations, up (4.1%) from April 2021 (15,794). Private Limited made up (89.8%) of the month, LLPs (3.3%) and OPCs (5.2%); the LLP share fell from (20.5%) in April 2021. The previous month, March 2022, was not published by the MCA, so no month-on-month comparison is shown. LLP registrations this month are unusually low because LLP forms moved to the new MCA21 V3 portal in April 2022, and filers reported serious difficulties while the new system settled.

Financial-year context: April 2022 falls in FY 2022–23. Monthly counts remain observations for the named month, not full-year totals. January–March 2016 falls in FY 2015-16, so it is not counted in Financial Year totals, but it is included in month-to-month comparisons.

April 2022 recorded 16,448 Company and LLP registrations in India. This page places the month in context by comparing April 2022 with earlier available April data from 2016 onward.
