April 2020 recorded 3,788 registrations, down (74.0%) from April 2019 (14,577), the steepest April fall in the 2016–2026 series. It is the lowest April in the 2016–2026 series. Private Limited made up (76.2%) of the month, LLPs (15.2%) and OPCs (6.0%); the LLP share fell from (28.7%) in April 2019. Compared with the previous month, March 2020 (8,155), registrations were down (53.5%). April 2020 was the first full month of India's nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, which began on 25 March 2020.
