Private Limited Company / OPC: Bank Account Opening Documents
- Certificate of Incorporation and company PAN.
- MOA and AOA (Memorandum and Articles of Association).
- Board resolution / account-opening authorisation naming authorised signatories and the mode of operation. For a single-director OPC, confirm the bank’s accepted format.
- Director list, shareholding and beneficial ownership details.
- KYC: PAN, accepted identity/address documents and photographs for authorised signatories and beneficial owners; director KYC as requested.
- Registered office / operating address proof accepted by the bank, completed application and applicable declarations.
LLP: Current Account Opening Documents
- Certificate of Incorporation and LLP PAN.
- Executed LLP Agreement and amendments.
- Partners’ resolution / mandate naming authorised signatories and the mode of operation.
- Partner / designated partner list, contribution, profit-sharing and beneficial ownership details.
- KYC: PAN, accepted identity/address documents and photographs for authorised signatories and beneficial owners; partner KYC as requested.
- Registered office / operating address proof accepted by the bank, completed application and applicable declarations.
Signing, Rubber Stamps and Office Signboard
Documents requiring certification or authorisation should be properly signed and stamped as instructed by the bank, by the relevant Director, Designated Partner or Authorised Signatory. Personal KYC copies should be self-attested where required. Company, LLP and authorised signatory rubber stamps are available from Rubber Stampwala.
Banks may verify your business premises and take office or signboard photographs. For Pvt Ltd companies and OPCs, Section 12(3)(a) of the Companies Act, 2013 requires conspicuous display of the company name and registered office address outside every office or business location, with the prescribed language requirements. You can procure a company signboard from Rubber Stampwala. This Companies Act provision is specific to companies.
Which Banks Offer Zero-Balance Current Accounts for New Pvt Ltd, OPC and LLP Businesses?
Eligible new businesses can access startup accounts with temporary balance waivers. Incorporation alone does not guarantee eligibility, and the offers are not necessarily lifetime zero-balance accounts.
